Army Organizes 15-Day-Tour from Kashmir to Pune for Women Cricketers

GOC victor force, Resham Bali along with his wife visited the 19 – Rashtriya Rifles Headquarters in Larkipora of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district to interact with 14 member Women Cricket team to be sent off on a tour under ‘Sadbhavana’ for 15 days to Pune and Mumbai to participate in Friendly Matches.

The 15-day tour from Kashmir to Pune is organized by the 19 Rashtriya Rifles (Sikhli) in collaboration with Aseem Foundation. On the said occasion, 2 sector Commander VS Thakur Colonel Dharmendra Yadav and other Company Commanders welcomed Major General.

GOC Victor Force Resham Bali and his wife interacted with the girls during the visit and said the tour aims to provide a platform to talented girls. This is an excellent opportunity for these young Kashmiri girls who have excelled in cricket to get exposure of life in a cosmopolitan city.

Major General Rashim Bali and Mrs. Rashim Bali exhorted the team to take this opportunity and also appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Pune and Mumbai.

Girls had an interaction with GOC in which martial art girls also participated.

“Later on the Girls thanked the Indian army fit organizing Such initiatives to provide a healthy platform. Captain of the team Miss. Rubia Syed quite excited about the tour on behalf her team members Mehak Sofi and Fancy Jan who have played Ranjhi trophy thanked GOC Victor Force, Commander 2 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and Aseem Foundation for making their dream possible, ” the Army said.
