A Youth from Anantnag township who was missing for the past several weeks has been found dead in the Bon Dialgam area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Tuesday afternoon.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that locals of Bon Dailgam on Tuesday spotted a dead body lying in the canal of the area after which they rushed to the spot and called the Police for the retrieval of the dead body.
The Police reached the spot and retrieved the decomposed dead body from a canal in the area, A Police official told The Kashmiriyat.
The SHO Anantnag Rashid Khan confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that upon investigation, the decomposed body was found to be that of Javid Ahmed Pathan (Jeenu) from the Ashijipora area of the Anantnag township in South Kashmir.
Javaid had been missing from February 03, 2021.
The official said that the body will be handed over to the family after medical formalities.
