Unknown persons on Friday shot at an Army man in the Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that an Army man identified as Mohammed Shaheen Akhoon was shot at by unknown gunmen at his residence in Bijbehara town of Kashmir.
Shaheen was wounded in the attack, after which he has been rushed to the Government Medical College in Anantnag for treatment.
Mohammed Saleem Akhoon son of Ghulam Hassan Akhoon aged 45 who is a resident of Bijbehara was serving in the Territorial Army.
The official said that the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants, they said.
