An encounter has raged in the Semthan area of Bibehara area South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that 3 RR of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Semthan area of Anantnag’s Bijbehara area.
During the cordon, the hiding militants opened fire upon forces triggering an encounter.
Two to three Militants are believed to be trapped at the site of the encounter.
Meanwhile, another encounter is going in the Hatipora area of Kulgam where joint forces including 3 RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF are conducting the Anti- Militancy operation.
