After Eid congregation, Shia dominated area of Meer Bahri dal was rocked by massive protests against ongoing aggression Israeli on the Palestinians, on Thursday morning.
The pro-Kashmir and pro-Palestinian demonstration was held in Meer Bahri dal, on Srinagar outskirts.
The protesters were seen carrying banners and placards, chanting pro-Kashmir and pro-Palestinian slogans after the culmination of Eid prayers.
Following the covid related protocols, the protesters said that it’s time for Muslim ummah to stand in favor of the oppressed across the globe.
One of the protesters, Ibrahim Mukhtar told The Kashmiriyat, that this protest is not only against Israeli barbarism, but it’s also against the oppression of Kashmir.
“We are against oppression, and we condemn it in all forms, and Muslims across the globe should stand in favor of oppressed,” he said.
“This protest is not only against Israel, but it’s against Kashmir’s oppression,” protesters told The Kashmiriyat.
Meanwhile, preachers in Eid congregations condemned the high-handedness of Israeli forces and slammed on the Muslim states who are hand in glove with zionists.
Imam Jumma of Jamia Imam Reza, Gund Hassi Bhat Srinagar, Aga Syed Iftikhar told The Kashmiriyat that it’s not just an issue of Palestine, but its the identity of Muslims, which is at stake and discretion of Masjid Aqsa is unacceptable.
“We cannot tolerate the barbarism of the Zionists on innocent Palestinian people, world should break criminal silence and help these oppressed,” he said.
“The illegal state of Israel will be wiped out from the pages of history. Although we are far away from Palestinian people, we stand with them,” he said further.
It is pertinent to mention here that anger is simmering among the social media users against Israeli forces’ actions on Palestinian people. And the hashtag #KashmirStandsWithPalestine has been trending on Twitter.
Tension is escalating between two, and many Muslim states have extended their support to the Palestinians and condemned Israeli barbarism.
