One militant has been killed while another accepted the surrender offer during an encounter in the Hanjipora Kachdoora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that a militant was killed while another surrendered during the Anti Militancy operation jointly conducted by Forces on Friday afternoon in the Shopian area.
He said that a surrender offer was given to the trapped militants several times and among them, one accepted the offer.
The surrendered Militant has been identified as Sahil Ahmed, a resident of Bemnipora Shopian, the slain Militant is yet to be identified. Sahil had been missing since March this year.
He has said that the operation is still underway
