Four Militants have been killed during two encounters in the Kashmir valley- three in the Shokbaba forest area of Bandipora and one in Yaripora area of Kulgam.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that joint forces including Indian Army’s 14 RR, Bandipora police, Para force, MARCOS and CRPF are engaged in the operation in Bandipora forests.
The operation was launched on Saturday morning.
Three militant bodies were retrieved from the encounter site and arms and ammunition including three AK-47 rifles have also been recovered so far.
On Sunday morning, one militant was killed in an encounter in the Munand area of Yaripora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The identity is being ascertained, the official said, adding search operations are being jointly conducted by joint team of Police, Army and CRPF.
