A major cloudburst in the Baba Wayil area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district triggered flash floods in several nearby areas causing heavy damage to public property.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to The Kashmiriyat, on Friday afternoon, a cloudburst in the Baba Wayil area flooded the nearby area including the Sehpora, Safargund, Nuner areas of Ganderbal.
The flash floods have caused massive damage to the fields and orchards in the areas. Also, several important road links area is submerged in the water.
Teams of Local Police have reached the spot along with several officials of the Local administration.
According to the locals, several animals including horses and animals are trapped in the floods. Several houses have also received damage.
