Jammu Kashmir Administration Hikes Dearness Allowance from 17% to 28%

The Jammu and Kashmir government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees and pensioners from 17 per cent to 28 per cent.

The increased dearness allowance will be applicable from July 1.

Just a few days back, the Jharkhand government had also increased the DA from 17 per cent to 28 per cent.

Earlier, the central government had announced to increase DA for central employees and pensioners.

This year, on July 14, the government had decided that the dearness allowance (DA) for central employees and pensioners would be increased from 17 per cent to 28 per cent. Due to the Coronavirus infection, there was an awaited increase in the DA of the employees since 2019.

Earlier, the Government of Karnataka had also announced the release of an additional installment of Dearness Allowance. The Karnataka government had decided to increase the DA from 11.25 per cent to 21.5 per cent.
