An LP driver died in a tragic road accident when his truck fell into a deep gorge near Chini Nallah, Zojila pass on Srinagar-Leh highway, on Saturday.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that a truck bearing registration Number JK13D/4115, which was on its way from Kargil to Srinagar skidded off the road and fell into 300-ft deep gorge near Chini Nallab at Zojila pass in Ganderbal district.
Police sources said that the police, ambulance and locals reached the spot where driver had already died on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Feroz Ahmad Khanday Son of Gh Nabi Khanday, a resident of Qamarwari, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, the police has taken cognizance of the accident.
