Fake Certificate for Appointment: Jammu Kashmir Admin Terminates Service of Judicial Officer

The Jammu Kashmir administration has terminated the service of a judicial officer Mohammad Yousuf Allai on the recommendation of the full court of High Court of Jammu  Kashmir and Ladakh, Bar and Bench reported.

An order was passed on Friday, i.e., September 10, 2021, which said, “On the recommendation of the Hon’ble Full Court, of High Court of Jammu  Kashmir and Ladakh, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor is pleased to order the termination of services of Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Allai, Civil Judge (Jr. Division)/Munsiff (under suspension) with immediate effect).”

Reportedly Allai was appointed in the year 2000 but a petition was filed by another judicial officer Javid Ahmad Geelani against Allai, in which he had alleged that Allai had secured the appointment on the basis of a fake certificate.

The court ruled in favour of Geelani and the matter was put up before the full court of the High Court for follow up action, reported Bar and Bench.
