
The Panjab Government on Tuesday said that the Kashmiri student whose body was found under mysterious circumstances had left a suicide note behind.
The CM’s Media Advisor said that the Police have recovered a note in which Umar had stated that he was undergoing severe depression because of which he committed suicide.
His brother, Showkat who is a police constable has reached the FGS and his family is satisfied with the ongoing probe, the family said.
Taking to his Twitter, Raveen Thukral, the media advisor of Panjab Chief Minister said that, “Just been informed by @DGPPunjabPolice that Umar Ahad was in depression and he left behind a suicide note. His brother Shaukat, a J@K police constable, has reached FGS. Postmortem being conducted & his family is satisfied with the investigations. Thorough probe on.”

Pertinently, the body of a 20-year-old youth Umar Dev, a student of 3rd semester of BSC Radiology, from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was found hanging from a solar plant on the terrace of a college hostel in Panjab.
