Clashes Erupt in Shopian Degree College

Intense Clashes Erupted in Government Degree college Of Shopian District of South Kashmir over the attempts to revoke Article 35A.

A Student told The Kashmiriyat that students in large numbers shouting slogans in favour of Article 35a hit the streets.

The students hurled stones on Government Forces deployed in the area, triggering clashes.

The forces fired tear smoke shells to disperse protesting students.

Hospital Sources told The Kashmiriyat that four youth have been hit with pellets while one of them has who was hit with pellets in his eyes has been referred to Srinagar for treatment.

The supreme court of India today was hearing a fresh petition challenging the special status of Jammu Kashmir, the fresh petition filed by BJP Spokesman, Ashwini Upadhyay.

The Supreme Court has though adjourned the hearing on the petition.
