clashes erupted in sopore main Chowk on Monday following the new petition that was filed by BJP Spokesman, Ashwini Upadhyay on Monday demanding the revoking of Article 35A.
Scores of youth including students hit the streets and clashes with the forces deployed in the main chowk of Sopore in North Kashmir.
Minor Clashes also erupted in Handwara area of North Kashmir between youth and Government Forces.
Article 35a, a special status to Jammu Kashmir bars people from outside the state from acquiring any immovable property in the state.
The Supreme court later adjourned the hearing on the fresh petition filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and lawyer, Ashwini Upadhyay, seeking scrapping of Article 35-A.
