A family of four members was rendered homeless after their houseboat sank in the river Jhelum at Rajbagh Ghat late last night.

Talking to the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), owner of houseboat HB Delhi, Abdul Khaliq Guru said the houseboat sank all of a sudden last night and it has suffered extensive damage.
He claimed that the houseboat has suffered damage of Rs 50 lakh approximately and appealed to the government to provide compensation-(KNO)
