A minor boy died after being hit by a vehicle in Mendhar of Poonch district on Tuesday evening.
A police official said that information was received that a Tata Safari bearing registration number JK02AG -5453 driven by Mohammad Yasir, resident of Harni Gultha while on way from Mendhar to Gursai on reaching Talla Kasi, Ari hit a child namely Mobeen Khan (6) son of Mohammad Shafiq Khan, resident of Ari.
The child was shifted to SDH Mendhar, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival, the official said.
The driver has been arrested and the vehicle seized from the spot, the official further said. (GNS)
