Two More Policemen Succumb In Shopian- Death toll Reaches 4

Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday shot dead four policemen in Arahma area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that suspected militants fired upon a Police party near the Arahama Fruit Mandi  of Shopian injuring four of them.

They were rushed to the hospital, however they succumbed on the way, a Police official confirmed.

Meanwhile reports suggest the three weapons have also been snatched from the Policemen.

The slain cops have been identified as Javaid Ahmad Bhat son of Nazir Ahmed Bhat from Panzipora in Sumbal, Adil Bhat son of Maznoor Ahmed Bhat from Zawoora in Shopian, Ishfaq Ahmed Mir son of Abdul Aziz Mir, a resident of Watergam and Muhammad Iqbal Mir son of Abdul Rahim Mir from Rafiabad.

The Forces immediately laid a siege around the area to nab the attackers.
