Three Kashmiri Students Suspended In Agra For Supporting Pakistan During Cricket Match Against India

Three Kashmiri students studying in a college in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh have been suspended following the cricket match between India and Pakistan, in which India was defeated by the arch-rivals.

In a notice issued by the Raja Balwant Singh Engineering College in Bichpuri, three Kashmiri students have been suspended on 25 October for allegedly supporting Pakistan in the cricket match.

Students named Arsheed Yousuf from Civil Engineering, Inayat Altaf Sheikh from Civil Engineering and Showkat Ahmed Ganie, the college alleged, were found involved in indiscipline act of posting status in favour of Pakistan after the India & Pakistan Match on 24/10/2021.

The Hostel discipline committee has decided to suspend all three of them with immediate effect, the official notice read.

The college authorities have also ordered an enquiry into the matter.
