Appealing the LG led administration to relocate the camp, the locals said that a couple of marriage functions had to be cancelled as the CRPF has been stationed in the Marriage Hall, which served several localities of the busy and congested Srinagar locality.

Shabir Ahmed, a local resident said that the CRPF camp would create problems for the local residents as the camp has been established inside a residential area.

“The locality is already surrounded by camps of Government forces. The Marriage Hall was been built by the government for the convenience of locals and the stationing of CRPF in the Marriage Hall will only create problems for the local residents,” Shabir, who represents the Mohalla committee said.

“Their vehicles keep coming and going out of the area, It is creating ruckus in the area. There are several camps around the area. We do not understand the reasons for one more camp in the area,” he said.

Shabir on behalf of the residents of Shutrashahi Mohalla appealed the LG, Manoj Sinha to listen to their genuine plea and relocate the CRPF camp to some other place.
