The Government Forces on Monday evening launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the Karhama area of the Kunzer in Baramulla district of North Kashmir.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that a search operation has been launched jointly by forces including 2 RR of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police, and CRPF in the Karhama area of Kunzer.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed on Monday afternoon, and a door-to-door search operation has begun, Locals told The Kashmiriyat.
The cordon and search operation started around 3:40 PM on Friday and has entered its tenth hour. A top militant commander is believed to be trapped at the site, along with two others, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched as an Anti Militancy operation on May 2, 2017, amid a rise in the local recruitment into Militant groups in the Kashmir valley.
