Police on Tuesday said that during routine Naka checking, a pistol was recovered from a vehicle even as the driver along with the vehicle managed to flee from the spot.
A police official told GNS that one person boarding the vehicle was arrested and is presently being questioned.
He said that during routine Naka checking at Arwani bridge on new national highway, a police party recovered one pistol from a vehicle—Vitara Breeza.
“While the person detained is presently being questioned, the main culprit absconded from the spot along with vehicle and efforts are underway to trace him,” he said. It was not immediately known if the man detained had taken the lift in the vehicle or knew the owner. (GNS)
