“The north campus has already been declared as containment zone. We are here, to represent all law students of the valley and the affiliated colleges. How can we appear for exams in the offline mode?” he said.

It is submitted that they are in small minority, and the law students of the valley are divided over the issue of upcoming examination, ” the letter reads.

While talking to The Kashmiriyat over phone, the Law Students Forum said, “Is there no coved while roaming in gardens and markets?”

“Why excuse of Covid when it comes to offline mode of examination? We want our exams to be held as per scheduled date. Our degrees and courses are getting affected,” they said.

They added that no doubt the north campus was declared as containment zone, but authorities can find different ways to conduct examination.

“Come what may! But conduct our exams at any cost. We stand with the decision of the department,” they added.

The Kashmiriyat contacted Head of Department (HOD) of Law, Dr. Beauty Banday, who said that it was an order from higher authorities that exams be conducted through the offline mode.
