A group of persons with disability staged protest against SSB authorities at the Press Enclave, Srinagar, demanding release of the final list.
While chanting slogans against General Administration Department (GAD), the protestors said, “We appeared in the SSB exams last year, on reserved posts, but till now our final list has not be declared.”
Abdul Rashid Bhat, the president of Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Association, told The Kashmiriyat that they were being ignored and that their lives were being played with.
“We request Khalid Jehangir, the chairman of SSB, to kindly release our final list. We have suffered everyday since a long time,” he said.
The protestors also said that they will launch hunger strike on December 20, if their demands are not fulfilled.
“We don’t want to stage protest, here, in bone chilling winter but the administration is not paying any heed towards our demands,” they added.
