The Jammu Kashmir Police on Monday claimed that one militant was killed in a brief shootout in the Harwan area of Srinagar.
The Jammu Kashmir Police in a tweet said, “Srinagar police neutralised one militant dreaded of proscribed militant outfit LeT Salim Parray along with one foreign militant.”
However the tweet was updated later and in the new tweet, the Police said. said, #SrinagarEncounterUpdate: Only 1 #terrorist neutralized. Terrorist Salim Parray of proscribed #terror outfit LeT Salim Parray neutralized. #Operation going on. Further details shall follow. IGP Kashmir.
