Kashmir snow- Kashmir University postpones exams; Eight flights cancelled so far

The Kashmir valley received fresh snowfall on Wednesday morning, while at several places it has been snowing since Tuesday morning.

Hilly areas in Kashmir accumulated several inches of snowfall forcing the closure of link roads, highways. The air transport has been hit for the second consecutive day.

An airport official said that so far eight flights have been canceled at the Sheikh ul Aalam International Airport in Srinagar, three flights have been rescheduled so far.

Meanwhile, Kashmir University has postponed all the exams scheduled on Wednesday due to the inclement weather conditions in the Valley.

The University officials in a notification said, “It is notified for the information of all the concerned that due to inclement weather conditions, all UG/PG/Professional/B.Ed examinations of Kashmir University scheduled on 5, 01, 2022 (Wednesday) are hereby postponed”.

Fresh dates for the postponed papers will be issued separately, the notification added.
