Amid Spike in Covid cases, Courts to go on Virtual mode in Jammu Kashmir

Amid the spike in Covid cases in Jammu Kashmir, the courts in the erstwhile state have been ordered to go virtual.

The Registrar General of the High Court, Jawad  Ahmed, has ordered the court to conduct no physical hearings, saying that all the hearings shall be conducted in an online mode.

The order will be applicable in the High Court and other courts subordinate to the high court of Jammu Kashmir. If necessary, the Bench of the concerned matter may consider a direct hearing.

Presiding officers of minor and subordinate courts, as per the order, will conduct online hearings from their chambers or offices and the concerned lawyers and petitioners will be informed in advance about the dates of the hearings.

For this, the High Court has been asked to issue e-court links in the courts, which will be linked with the official website of the High Court.
