Several areas in south Kashmir’s Kulgam are facing an electricity crisis for the past few days, Locals said.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the residents of Aamno, Reshipora, Nayak Pora alleged that they are facing unscheduled power cuts, which has caused problems for the residents of these areas.
“The PDD has provided a schedule of electricity like every year for the winter months, but they do not follow the schedule. Power cuts are happening very frequently in these areas, which has made all walks of life especially children to suffer,” a local resident, Abdul Rashid Dar said.
In the bone-chilling winter, when we need electricity the most, the PDD department is depriving us of it, he said.
Appealing to the DC Kulgam to intervene, the locals said that the department should provide scheduled electricity.
