In a video that has gone viral over social media, A female teacher stationed outside the gate of a school was seen asking the students either to remove the Hijab or entry to classrooms was prohibited.
A little girl was seen removing her headscarf first. Parents of several students including hers came requesting the teacher that once they get inside the classroom they would remove it but in no way did she allow them, instead called two of her colleagues as shown in a video shared on Social media.

Amidst the Karnataka HC’s ongoing hearing of the Petitions challenging the ‘No Hijab Regulation in schools and colleges, the visuals got framed outside the Rotary Educational Society School at Dwarka Nagar in Mandya.
An argument took place between the parents and the teachers, as seen in the video and very soon the parents relented to the HC’s probational decision of not wearing any religious outfits in educational institutions till the court proceedings are on.
Last Week of this month, the High Court issued an immediate temporary interim order saying schools can reopen but no religious clothing to be allowed. It asked the public and the students to maintain ‘peace’ and ‘order’.

While stating it, the HC said “Pending consideration of all petitions, we restrain all students, regardless of their religion or faith, from wearing saffron shawls, scarves, hijab, religious flags or the like, within the classroom, until further orders.”
A mass gathering was barred in many districts viewing the unrest and the stand-offs between the girls wearing and members of right wings flaunting saffron scarves to censure them. A probational Section 144 imposed within 200m of all high-schools perimeters in Mangaluru.
In Udupi, which is the starting point of the protest denied a gathering of more than 4 people by the Administration.
On 13 February, men wearing saffron head gears and holding saffron flags harassed a Mandya college student, Bibi Muskan Zainab Khan, when she was entering the institution wearing Burqa. Those saffron-cladding men rebuked her and kept on shouting ‘Jai Shree Ram’.
She slammed those outsider men, which she confirmed later saying ‘Allah u Akbar’ not to demean anyone’s religious belief but to show ‘Almighty’ is with her.
Several scattered protests against the Hijab have been seen in parts of the country, from Jammu and Kashmir to Kolkata’s Candle March. Whereas RSS Muslim Wings supports the Hijab or the ‘Purdah’ system saying it is a part of Muslim ethnicity.
