A militant was killed during an ongoing encounter at the Charsoo area of Awantipora in the Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Tuesday.
Jammu Kashmir Police said that one unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter.
Based on a specific input about the presence of militants, a joint team of forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
The search operation is still going on.
This is the 21st encounter of this year and until now 36 militants have been killed.
