6-year-old girl allegedly raped by teacher in Srinagar

A 6-year-old girl has allegedly been raped by a Kashmiri Pandit teacher in Srinagar outskirts.

Jammu Kashmir Peoples Conference Youth President and former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran expressed disappointment over the selective silence over this incident.

‘Heard distressing news about a 6- yr (year) old girl of Vicharnag (Soura) raped by a Kashmiri rather than Kashmiri pandit. Crime is never associated with any Race or religion but why is there a selective silence about this incident? If this is true then silence seems criminal and We have to break this criminal silence & bring justice to humanity & stand for Strict punishment rather than capital punishment against the monster who destroyed the life of a blooming girl.”

Sheikh Imran tagged Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Aijaz Asadh, Srinagar Administration and Jammu Kashmir Police and requested them to verify this incident for sake of justice.

While talking to news agency Kashmir News Trust, Sheikh Imran said that a monster has no religion and it can be from any cast, creed or color.

“I was shocked after learning about his incident. I talked to the relative of the victim and it was really painful to learn about this incident,” Sheikh Imran said adding that the accused is a government teacher.

Meanwhile, KNT has learnt that after the complaint from the victim’s family, police have registered an FIR vide number 27/2022 under section 376 and POSCO Act against the accused and he us behind bars. (KNT)
