A 28-year-old man was found dead seven days after he went missing during the targeted attack on Muslims in Khargone area of Madhya Pradesh.
According to reports, Ibraish Khan had gone missing from after he left his home on 10 Aril to serve Iftari to the people of the nearby locality. “he did not return home so we started searching him everywhere,” his brother Ikhlaq Khan said.
Eight days after, his body was found lying the Government hospital of Khargone.
He said that Ibraish was initially assaulted by goons and attacked with stones. “He was arrested by Police after being beaten up by right-wing goons. We have got several eyewitness accounts who saw him in Police custody. We had no clue of his whereabouts and on Sunday, I got a call from an unknown number asking me to visit the local Police station. The next day, I did,” Ikhlaq said.
Iklaq went to the Police station and he was handed over the body of his 28-year-old Brother Ibraish.
He alleged that Ibraish had torture marks all over his body. “His body was mutilated. One of his eyes had been taken out and the bone from one of his legs pulled out. His face had scars and his body had bruises and cuts all over. We do not know what a beast could do to a human being. His head had been crushed with stones,” Ikhlaq said.
Rohit Kashwani, the SP of Khargone said that Police had received a piece of information about an unidentified dead body lying down in the area. “The Police reached the area and collected the dead body, took it to the hospital where a post mortem was conducted on the body,” he said.
He said that upon investigation, the body was found to be that of Ibraish Khan, a resident of Khargone.
Ibraish has left behind a wife and a six month old son named Usman Khan.
