CASO launched in Kokernag area

Following a specific input about the Militant movement in Hiller Kokernag area of Anantnag district, the government forces have laid a siege in the area.

The Anti-militancy cordon and search operation (CASO) is being jointly conducted by 19 RR of the Indian Army, 96 BN of CRPF, and Jammu Kashmir police on Wednesday afternoon in the Hiller area of Anantnag.

The troops have said that a search operation as militants are believed to be trapped.

The search operation was going on when this report was filed.
