Massive Clashes Continue at the Encounter Site in Handwara

Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted in  Shotgund village of Handwara in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway.

Two Militants are believed to be holed up  as a massive gunfire on from both the sides, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.

A Local told The Kashmiriyat that scores of protesters including women assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to immense tear smoke shelling.

Announcements are being made on loudspeakers in the mosques asking others to come out, a local told The Kashmiriyat.

People in large numbers from adjacent areas are trying marching towards the encounter site.
