The body of a 25-year-old youth who had gone missing from his home in the Shopian district of south Kashmir was recovered under mysterious circumstances in the Banihal area of Ramban district.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat the family member of the deceased said that Aarif had gone to the market three days ago to purchase clothes for his wedding scheduled the next week.
“His phone had been switched off for the last three days. We tried to contact him several times,” they said, adding that his wedding was scheduled on the 11th and 12th of May, 2022.
Meanwhile, officials said that on Sunday evening the body of Aarif Ramzan Ganie son of Muhammad Ramzan Ganie, a resident of Chittragam Kallan Shopian was found in Ramban under mysterious circumstances. “His body was spotted by some locals near the Railway bridge in Banihal and later recovered by police,” the officials said.
The Jammu Kashmir Police has launched a probe into the matter.
