Encounter breaks out in Dooru Anantnag

An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Kreeri, Dooru area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

A Police official said that on Tuesday 19 RR of the Indian Army, 164 BN of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the Kreeri area.

During the cordon, the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
