Government employee shot at in Budgam tehsil office succumbs

An employee of the Revenue department of Jammu Kashmir who was earlier shot at by suspected militants at Tehsil office in central Kashmir’s Budgam district has succumbed to his injuries.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday afternoon a Government employee identified as Rahul Bhatt posted at the Revenue office in Budgam’s Chadoora was fired upon by the militants on the office premises.

They said that Rahul sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Meanwhile, a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.
