Senior Hurriyat leader and patron of Itehad ul Muslimeen Moulana Abbas Ansari on Sunday paid homage to eminent religious scholar and fearless political leader Mirwaiz Qazi Nisar Ahmed.
In a press release, Itehad ul Muslimeen said, Shaheed Nisar Sahib was a fearless political leader as well as a social leader and religious scholar who devoted his entire life to the service of religion and leadership of the Kashmiri nation.
He paid homage to the political, welfare and religious services of Qazi Nisar and said that the martyrdom of Qazi Sahib proved to be a great tragedy for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The martyrdom has created a huge gap in Kashmiri society that cannot be filled for centuries.
Maulana said that he was a revolutionary leader who had dedicated his life to a great cause and in this way, he had sacrificed his precious life and added to the physical and spiritual suffering of Kashmiris.
Ansari said that the religious, political, and social services of the martyr are an asset to the Kashmiri nation and we salute his valiant resistance role and political insight, the press release read.
Maulana said that the lack of this conscious leader and unity is acutely felt even today and in order to fill this gap, his mission has to be completed and this is the best tribute to this great leader.
