One person was killed and another in a road accident at the Nagam area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday morning.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that an Auto Rickshaw bearing the Registration number JKO3H 7657 skidded off the main road in the Nagam Irkumoo Canal in Anatnag’s Kokernag area, causing injuries to two persons.
The injured were referred to the nearby hospital where one identified as Mohammed Hussain Mir alias Nikki Mir son of Abdul Aziz Mir of Nagam Kokernag died of his injuries.
Another person who got injured in this accident was identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Naikoo.
The Jammu Kashmir Police have started an investigation into the matter.
