Three people including a journalist was injured during clashes between civilian protesters and government forces after a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Memandar area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that a heavy contingent of forces reached this Shopian area and conducted a search operation in the area after receiving specific inputs about Militant presence in the area.
A Journalist identified as Aijaz Ahmad Dar was hit by pellets during clashes and was shifted to district hospital Shopian for treatment.

The CASO was launched in the area soon after militants attack army patrol toady afternoon, said an official.
