The Kashmir valley is wearing a deserted look on Monday on the eve of India’s 75th independence day celebrations.
Shops and other business establishments remained shut in most parts of the valley while checkpoints and barricades have been erected at the main squares and points from North to South Kashmir.
In Srinagar and other towns of the valley, massive security arrangements have been made as people mostly have chosen to remain indoors.
Meanwhile, the administration had directed the Government officials including the teachers to hoist the tricolor at their respective offices and schools.
