Two LeT associated arrested in Bandipora, booked under PSA, says Police

Bandipora police on Sunday said that it has booked two Militant associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba militant outfit under the public safety act(PSA).

The police said that two militant associates of LeT were detained under PSA, one of the associates identified as Ishfaq Majeed Dar son of Ab Majeed Dar @Salahudin of Saderkoot Bala who was a hard-core ANE’s & was in touch with militants in PaK and was given the task by his handlers across the border to mobilise the youth in Bandipora for recruiting them into banned organization LeT.

He was further given the task to identify Police and Crpf Naka’s in Hajin area of Bandipora along with coordinates for carrying attacks in the area.

It said that the other person identified as Waseem Ahmad Malik @Obaid @ Osama S/o Ab Gani Malik R/o Gundpora Rampora was also in touch with PaK based militant namely Hashir parray whose module was recently busted by Bandipora police and was establishing new associates in Bandipora town and adjacent areas and was working on to lure youth of Bandipora towards militancy sympathisers & to establish sleeper cells in Bandipora district.

“Keep in view there tendencies towards mobilising the youth terror activities and to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in Bandipora district, Both of them were detained under PSA,” it added.
