Inhabitants of Reshipora, Ahmadabad in Damhal Hajnipora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday staged a protest against the PHE Department for failing to provide adequate water supply.
Miffed over the erratic supply of drinking water, the residents hit the streets and demanded that the district administration should provide them with an adequate water supply.
The locals claimed that authorities are making no efforts to address their concerns despite repeated pleas.
“We have been approaching the concerned Jal Shakti employees to redress our issue, but nothing has been done by them in this regard,” she told The Kashmiriyat.
The residents demanded that there an uninterrupted water supply should be provided to the area so that the basic needs of people can be fulfilled.
They appealed to the Governor administration & district administration to resolve the issue at the earliest.
