A child has died while six others including two women and four children have suffered injuries in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast on Monday in Dangri area of Rajouri district, reports said here.
Reports reaching the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that an IED blast took place in the house of one of the slain civilians in a firing incident in Rajouri last evening when people had gathered for condolences.
“During the explosion, a child about 7 years of age died on the spot while six others have been injured in the incident,” officials said.
They said that the injured including two women and four children were taken to GMC Rajouri for treatment.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday announced Rs 10 Lakh ex-gratia and a government job to the next of kin of each of those civilians killed in a firing incident in Upper Dhangri village of Rajouri district on Sunday late evening.
“An ex-gratia of Rs. 10 lakh and a Govt job would be given to the next of kin of each of those civilians martyred in dastardly attack,” he said, adding, “Seriously injured would be given Rs.1 lakh. Officials have been directed to ensure best treatment to injured.”
