Two including father of three daughters die of cardiac arrest in Shopian

Two including a woman and a Government teacher died of a cardiac arrest in the south Kashmir district

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday afternoon, Fayaz Ahmed Mir, a resident of Durpora area in Zainapora belt of Shopian fell unconscious after suffering a heart attack.

A Government teacher by profession, Fayaz was declared brought dead upon his arrival at the hospital, they said.

As per locals Fayaz was deputed as a teacher at the Government Primary school in Mujmarg area of Shopian.

The body has been handed over to the family for legal rites. “He is survived by three daughters and his wife. The eldest daughter is 20 years old, ” they told The Kashmiriyat.

Meanwhile, a woman who was a resident of Safanagri area in Shopian district died after suffering a cardiac arrest in the south Kashmir district.

Family members of the deceased woman identified as Fareeda Begum told The Kashmiriyat over the phone that the deceased was rushed to the hospital around 1030 AM.

Wife of Gulzar Ahmed Ganie, the 42-year-old woman passed away at the hospital after which her body was handed over to her legal heirs, they said.

Pertinently this is the sixth case of cardiac arrest reported in Kashmir in the last 24 hours.

Earlier on Saturday, a man from Aishmuqam in Anantnag identified as Nazir Ahmad Shah died of a cardiac arrest.

Another 22-year-old died of a heart attack in the Puchal area of Pulwama on Saturday.

A Policeman died due to a heart attack in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.

On Saturday, a 12th Class student died after suffering a heart attack in the Sugan area of Shopian.
