Amid massive clashes thousands of people attend last rites of Slain militant at Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that people in thousands assembled at Iqbal Market Sopore to participate in the funeral prayers of Sopore militant.
Slain Mehraj ul Din Sofi alias Marouf was killed along with Top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Naveed Jatt in a gunfight with government forces at Chattergam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday.
Soon after funeral prayers, Scores of youth pelted stones on deployed forces who in turn lobbed teargas shells to disperse them.
In the Action of the forces, many persons were injured, Meanwhile parts of Sopore have shut to mourn the killing of the local militant.
