The two persons believed to be running the prostitution racket in the Bagh e Mehtab area of Srinagar have been booked under the Public Safety Act, Police said.
Last week, Jammu Kashmir Police busted a prostitution racket in the Srinagar area and arrested two women and four women which included two customers as well.
Locals of the area appreciating the job of the Police demanded a stringent action against the accused and also sought punishment to the house owner.
Days later, Jammu Kashmir Police arrested the house owner and booked him under the relevant sections of law.
On Saturday, Mohammed Shafi Hajam and Arshid Bhat – the two kingpin of Bagh-e-Mehtab prostitution racket were booked under Public Safety Act.
