A free medical camp and distribution of free medicines were organized by the 178th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Zainapora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri Surjit Kumar, Commandant of the 178th Battalion of CRPF. SDM Zainapora Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, other officers, and local eminent personalities were also present during the camp.
During the camp, the doctors from the CRPF conducted free medical check-ups, consultations, and distributed medicines to the attendees.
Commandant Surjit Kumar highlighted that the 178th Battalion of CRPF had previously organized numerous civic action programs in Zainapora. The camp witnessed a substantial turnout of people, including women, children, and senior citizens from the area, with over 500 individuals benefiting from the services provided.
He further assured the local public that the CRPF has consistently supported the people of Kashmir and has been actively working towards peace, prosperity, and societal development. He emphasized the commitment of the CRPF to organizing similar civic programs in the future for the benefit of the local community. The camp successfully examined nearly 500 patients, including a significant number of women and children, and provided them with free medicines.
The local population appreciated the efforts of the 178th Battalion CRPF and expressed hope that such camps would continue to be organized in the future.
