Amid the celebrations of Eid, a teenager has been attacked brutally with a knife in Nowharta area of Srinagar.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday afternoon, a teenager (name withheld) was attacked by another youth from Srinagar with a knife, causing grievous injuries to him.
The teenage boy was rushed to the nearby hospital in Rainawari where he is being treated.
As per the eyewitness, the boy has been attacked multiple times with a knife on his face, adding that the accused was handed over to the Police by the locals.
Meanwhile an official said that the accused named Zubair Ahmed Bhat of Rajouri kadal, has been arrested for stabbing the teenager.
He said that an FIR under the number 27/2023 under sections 323,341 & 307 of IPC has been registered in Nowhatta PS.
Dozens of stabbing incidents have been witnessed across the Kashmir valley in the past month, marking a drastic spike in street rage incidents, a less seen phenomenon in Kashmir.
