On August 15, Month-long celebration programme issued for schools in Kashmir

Ahead of the 15 August, the Jammu Kashmir administration has announced a month long programme for schools in Kashmir valley.

An order accessed by The Kashmiriyat, stated that the Chief Education Officer Anantnag said that he has been directed to schools to  Independence Day Celebrations and submit reports on daily basis.

“I am also directed to forward a copy of the calendar devised by this Directorate regarding “Meri Maati Mera Desh” programme with the request kindly to organize the events as per schedule and to submit the reports accordingly,” read the notice.

Moreover, the Hols may also be advised to coordinate with Panchayat/Block/District and Divisional level officers during the conduct of different programmes under Men Maati Mera Desh Programme.

On 05 August, 2023, the authorities have directed the schools to organize debates, seminars on the theme Love for Mother Earth and our role.

On August 06, the schools have been offered to do role plays on Indian National Heroes.

“Pay salutations to heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect the Freedom and pride of motherland on August 07,” the school have been directed.

The authorities have directed schools to organize Tiranga rallies on 08 August, 2023.

During the next week, starting from August 09, the schools have been asked to organize National Anthem singing, flag hoisting and organize other programmes.

The authorities have also directed the staff to upload selfies with the Indian tricolour.

During the next five days, the admin has directed the staff to organize special assemblies dedicated to the theme “Meri Matti, Mera Desh”. The students and teachers have been directed to take Panch Pran Pledge and upload selfies.

Similar programmes have been issued on everyday basis for the schools till August 30.
