3 army troopers injured in Kulgam encounter succumb

Three army men who were earlier injured during the ongoing encounter in the Manzgam area of Kulgam have succumbed to their injuries.

Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that militants fired upon forces during a cordon and search operation in the south Kashmir area during which four army troopers were critically wounded.

They said that the troopers were shifted to the Army’s 92 base hospital, where three of them succumbed to their injuries.

Meanwhile the search operation in Manzgam area of Kulgam has been intensified to trace the militants, who are believed to be two to three in number.

Earlier Government forces including 34 RR, Jammu Kashmir Police had jointly laid a cordon during which militants fired upon them in the area.
